The HMR-409 has two rounded rectangular faces (one 13x6mm the other 13x4.5mm) for embossing lighter-gauge metal, creating broad concave forms, and direct chasing.
Part of the Precisionsmith line, these hammers are designed for detailed tasks and made to the exacting standards of all Fretz hammers. Heads are cast from 420 stainless steel and hardened to 50 HRC. Handles are made from oiled hardwood and are shaped and weighted to balance the head perfectly. Made in Vietnam.
