Filtration: vendor recommends to occasionally shake out the dust in the bags as that can prolong their life and to replace filter bags every 6-9 months for light to medium usage, or every 3-4 months if heavy usage.   By shaking the filter bags from time to time and changing them on regular basis, the HEPA cannister filter should rarely need replacing as the dust would not collect in that filter very often.
